The UK has a legally-binding target, under the Climate Change Act, to be net zero by 2050.
In 2019, the NFU set its own target for agriculture in England and Wales to reach net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040. In Scotland, the net zero target is 2045.
Agriculture accounts for around 12% of all greenhouse gas emissions in the UK, mainly from fertiliser and manure.
Our company has developed a revolutionary manure recycling technology that can significantly contribute to achieving these net-zero goals.
About
Green Tail and our technology
Our innovative technology turns manure into valuable products including organic fertiliser, crystalline carbon, clean water and electricity, while completely eliminating the greenhouse gas emissions associated with its storage and application. This not only contributes to the UK’s climate goals, but also provides significant economic benefits for farmers.
Key benefits of our technology:
— Environmental impact: Prevents the release of methane and other harmful gases, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and improving air quality. By eliminating the production of chemical fertilisers, the technology indirectly reduces greenhouse gas emissions associated with their production and extraction of raw materials. By not using fossil fuels, the technology completely eliminates greenhouse gas emissions associated with their production. — Sustainable practices: Produces organic fertilisers, promoting sustainable agriculture and reducing dependence on synthetic substances. — Resource efficiency: Generates clean water and electricity, promoting a circular economy. — Economic benefits: Creates new sources of income for farmers by selling valuable by-products.
Investment Opportunities: Our patented technology is currently under international review under the PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty) for protection in 156 countries and an application has been filed with the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO).
We are seeking investment to build a pilot plant and demonstrate its scalability and commercial viability.
By applying our technology, the UK will be able to:
— Achieve Net-Zero: Make significant progress towards the Government’s ambitious climate targets. — Support sustainable agriculture: Promote environmentally friendly farming practices. — Increase economic sustainability: Create new jobs and income streams for the agricultural sector.
We believe our technology can revolutionise UK agriculture and contribute to a more sustainable future.
Reduce Greenhouse Gas, Start Green Growth: Our net-zero technology tackles manure, drives climate action, and fuels economic benefits.
PROBLEM:
Manure runoff pollutes water (think dead zones!), methane supercharges climate change, and improper storage harms air quality. Big costs for the environment, big opportunity for a solution.
SOLUTION:
Transform Manure into Opportunity: Zero Waste, Zero Storage. Our innovative technology recycles manure on-site, eliminating the need for costly and polluting storage.
Clean & Green: No harmful emissions, no waste left behind – just a sustainable solution for a healthier environment. Fossil Fuel Free: Our technology operates without relying on fossil fuels, delivering a win for the environment and your bottom line.
UNTAPPED POTENTIAL:
UK MANURE PROCESSING MARKET
CONTENT:
In the UK, 169 million tonnes of manure (cow, pig, sheep, poultry) are generated annually.
Economic and environmental benefits: Full-scale recycling offers significant economic potential while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Government support: The UK’s target to achieve zero emissions by 2050 and reduce methane emissions by 50 per cent by 2030 fits perfectly with manure recycling solutions.
Sustainable future: Manure management eliminates agricultural emissions and provides renewable energy, supporting a greener future.
Market ready for growth: Growing government and business investment in low-carbon technologies will drive significant market expansion.
Products
Product potential in processing all UK manure
Drinking water
up to 118.32 mln tonnes per year The technology allows to obtain perfectly purified drinking water with zero salt content, without harmful bacteria, heavy metals and pesticides that can negatively affect the health of humans, animals and plants. Purification rate of 99.8%. Particle size 0.001-0.0001 µm.
Organic fertilizers
up to 4.95 mln tonnes per year During processing, liquid organic fertilizers are obtained, separated into their individual components. From them it is possible to obtain organic fertilizers in the form of water-soluble crystals or granules. Complex fertilizers from the initial liquid fertilizers can be obtained with any composition of micro and macro elements.
Green electricity
up to 207.05 GW per year The production process does not use energy from fossil fuels, the technology is fully self-sufficient in green energy. Excess energy is supplied to the grid.
Crystalline carbon
up to 6.24 mln tonnes per year Crystalline carbon obtained from manure is absolutely pure and sterile, free of heavy metals, pesticides and other salts and minerals.
